Product Description
The machine operates on the pendulum principle. A heavy, precision-engineered hammer is released from a fixed height (potential energy) to strike the test specimen. By measuring how high the pendulum swings after fracturing the sample, the machine calculates the amount of energy absorbed by the material. Dual-fixture machines easily swap between Izod configuration (where a vertical cantilever beam faces the striker) and Charpy configuration (where a horizontal beam is supported at both ends and struck in the middle).
